For over the past 40+ years the Smoak family has been providing "comfort for life" to both home owners & business owners for their heating, air conditioning & plumbing needs. We have the largest service department in the Charleston area with a great team of customer focused individuals. We have always treated our customers with honesty and respect. We strive to deliver complete customer satisfaction, from the time we answer the phone until the time we complete our service at your home or office. Our expertise is in maintenance, repair and equipment & ductwork replacement. We treat preventative maintenance very seriously with usually 3 or more service professionals performing maintenance each day, year round, not just seasonal. Our maintenance customers get priority response, repair discount & a lifetime warranty with most repairs when they have a service call. We want to be your provider of comfort ... For your life as well as the life of your family. We invest heavily into training so you will always receive the highest level of service. All of the work Smoak's performs is with our employees who are u.s. citizens. We do not use sub-contractors. For your protection all of Smoak's employees have passed a drug test and criminal background check. They broke the molding. They would not accept responsibility for the damage. It will all have to be replaced and painted. Very unprofessional. I left two messages for the owner twice no response back. No one came back out to inspect the damages.

Mr. Jones provided excellent service and the followup report is thorough. Price was reasonable for the quality of service. This is my first time using this service because an earlier quote for non-warrenty work was exceptionally high, a cause for concern.

They are do to come again. We have a contract with them, so you pay by the year. It's a standard inspection and cleaning contract. We have used them for 3 years and they have come 6 times. It's all good. In fact friends of ours, used them to get a whole new HVAC system put in and they did a comparison of 3 companies and ended up using Smoak's as well. The workers were excellent and left the area immaculate. They are very professional, they know what they are doing, they come on time, it is very easy to schedule an appointment, which living in Charleston, South Carolina in the summer for HVAC it is real important and there is usually a long line and since we have a contract you get bumped to the front of the line. That is important to us when it is very hot.

The technician, Javon Jones, arrived on time, having called ahead by 20 minutes to say that he was on his way. He had all the necessary equipment and had a friendly, professional attitude as he went about his business checking fluids, electrical components, etc.

Professional and courteous, however, I asked about cleaning the dryer on the outside of the house and was told to buy a brush and clean it myself. I  feel this should have been included in the service.

It is so much better. He is just one of the best. Mike was great. He was very personable but not a talker talker. He worked probably for six or seven hours to fix the problem. He was cheerful and nice as could be. I cannot say any more good things.

Prompt with estimate. and informative on tankless systems.  Phone calls prior to arrival.  Friendly, courteous, thoughtful.  Thought we would prefer electric tankless, but with info provided changed our mind.  Great listening skills, answered all our questions, and great communication.  After using the system for a week, we are more than pleased with the performance of the tankless water heater.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay. They ended up missing a pretty major problem that ended up costing us $2,000. They showed up on time but they didn't do a very good job. The price was cheap.

One toilet was fixed successfully, the other was fixed partially.  It was recommended to be replaced. The plumber was very nice and showed me how to check my sink drains myself which I really appreciated.
